The route
Distances in Mongolia are big and roads are often tracks. Expect some long days in the 4x4, broken up by stops with herders, picnics and leg-stretching walks.

Good to know
- Best for children aged 6 and over. Prices are per person; children's rates on request.
- Most drives are 2-4 hours, with one longer day of 6-7 hours on paved road.
- The family ger stay is simple, with an outdoor toilet and no shower for two nights. Children usually love it.
- Summer days are warm and sunny, but evenings cool quickly; pack fleeces and hats.
